I'm a huge sports fan and I admit that I will watch any kind of sport on television. The Mexican-American descent it's mandatory that you enjoy watching soccer; which I love wholeheartedly. To me, all sports are extra entertaining because I was never able to play them at any point in my life because I'm disabled. I have a huge respect for football players and rugby players and even baseball players for putting their bodies in predicaments that can really be consequential. I figured that sports couldn't get any more barbaric; not counting MMA fighting because that's just AWESOME; until I changed the channel last year and I saw the professional bull riding world championships from Las Vegas. My people are all about rodeo, but our definition rodeo is a couple drunk guys jumping on a wild horse and seeing who can ride for a few seconds in a dirty and dusty little circle surrounded by people who are also wasted. I know about rodeo but until I saw what these guys were doing, I totally changed my opinion and became a fan instantly. Watching 2500 pound bulls that are raised specifically for jumping and bucking be mounted by guys that are nowhere near muscular as your usual football player, and watching them hold on for dear life to see if they can make eight seconds is downright CRAZY. Now, that's the easy part. These guys have to have their bodies catapulted from the bull and make sure the bull does not land on them or step on them or even Gore them. I have a newfound respect for the word athlete after I witnessed a couple of guys get stepped on or have the bull land on their head while they're wearing helmets, be out cold for minutes, and get up, walk out of the arena and ride the next night. The professional bull riding association has been in existence for many years but now that television is what it is and sponsorship is becoming outstanding, the PBR is able to showcase championship races between guys that are going to be household names in the near future. Keep your eye open for names like JB Mauney & Cody Lohstroh because these young men are likable and are carrying their sport forward like Moneymaker and Raymer did for poker six plus years ago.

Lebron James drives to the hoop has a clock winds down to finish the game and gets no foul call!! Atrocious isn't it? Actually probably not. This was the sixth game of the season for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls walked into the gym with the mentality that every other NBA team is going to have this year; you're a one-man team that is one-dimensional and you can't keep up with our guys. Lebron is going to have his usual 30 point game but 30 points will not win you a championship in the NBA. The addition of Shaquille O'Neal just slowed them down and complicated their offense even further than it already was. He is not the same O'Neal and quite frankly it's kind of sad when Big Z looks like a better center than the big diesel. The Cavaliers did not get better in the off-season. Can this team manage a seven-game series in the playoffs when they can't even put away three teams in the first six games of the season? I think not. As for the foul, the Bulls played great defense and the contact going to the basket was initiated by Lebron. The referees got it right but more than that, the Cleveland upper management staff got it wrong and should be held accountable when Lebron decides to take off at the end of the season to a bigger and better opportunity and a few NBA championships.

Baseball is over for the year and as much as I want to keep booing the New York Yankees, I have to admit that they were simply the best hitting team that I have seen in my lifetime. Their pitching was suspect towards the end of the year but even though they had shaky bullpen performers, they never lost confidence in their hitting. With a lineup that includes the two best shortstops of this generation and the addition of Swisher and Texeira, this Yankee hitting lineup was quite possibly one of the most scary to hit the field this year. Whenever the Yankees are simply tired of losing in the playoffs, the old man also known as Steinbrenner pulls out his wallet and gives out a tiny sum of a quarter of $1 billion and all of a sudden his pitching staff is respectable again. Personally, I'm not a Alex Rodriguez fan nor am I a Joe Gerardi fan but the reason that this team managed to keep their head on straight this year was because of Derek Jeter. Finally the Yankees management and players stopped for one second and noticed that their best player for the last 15 years hasn't opened his mouth in any distracting way since he put on the pinstripes. I'm not a Yankee fan but I am a fan of number two. Congratulations Yankees! See you in Tampa Bay in the spring.

One more!

"I'm coming back!"
Florida gator fans all over the world are able to breathe a collective sigh of relief now that football superman Tim Tebow has decided to forgo the NFL draft for more year... Gator nation is in good hands..
Tebow is more than just a pretty boy playing quarterback for University of Florida.. He is one of the nicest and most genuine human beings on the planet.. He is not scared to put his faith first and foremost.. He leads by example!
On the football field Tebow is a leader and a downright powerhouse.. His players listen to every word that comes out of his mouth and follow every single lead that he is making.. He is not shy of taking a hit and actually enjoys running over a linebacker just to get three more yards.. His hits are punishing and his runs are meaningful.. Critics have had their way with dissecting his throwing but he does what he needs to do when he needs to do it... He is able to lay the ball into a tiny window 45 yards away and put it in a spot that his receivers are the only ones able to catch it... Granted, he is no John Elway, but truthfully nobody is..Tebow is a winner and that's all it comes down to.. The kid is a champion and is not scared to look adversity directly in the eyes and shoot it down..
With a Heisman Trophy and two national championships under his belt,Tebow has an opportunity to become one of the greatest college football players who ever lived.. The NFL will wait and rightfully so.. The NFL has been turned into a scouting and critic atmosphere and is being run by business people in stuffed suits who don't have a clue what a good football player would look like if he fell into their laps.. The Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams, and God forbid, the Oakland Raiders could use a winner like Tebow.. Unfortunately, scouts and critics say he is not your prototypical quarterback; let's ask Ryan Leaf how that's been working out for him..
Gator nation, enjoy your next year because this is going to be Tebow's official coming-out party... He has something to prove.. He may not show it but there is a massive chip on the shoulder of Mr. Tebow and may God bless anyone who gets in the way of him.. He is on a mission! So please sit back and watch as the greatest football player in college football history makes his mark with another national championship, a second Heisman Trophy, and a first round pick in the 2010 draft..
